Key to sustainable recycling is industrial demand for the materials that we all recycle, and the ability of manufacturers to make a living making quality products from recycled, secondary material. To get over the message that you can make quality products from recycled materials, we are continually on the look out for new recycled products. We use these to support our own presentations, and to stock our own products collection  housed at the Cobbett Centre.

Through our website, we also want to give companies who we think do produce innovative products from recycled materials, the opportunity to show what they can do. Hence the Product of the Month. Each month, this part of the Urban Mines website is updated with a new product or range of products, by invitation only, and each featured product added to our archive.

We want to support private companies, social enterprises or voluntary groups, manufacturing from recycled materials or providing innovative services through our Product of the Month feature. We don't charge for this service, and your product is displayed on our website home page for a calendar month, in which time our site attracts typically 50,000 hits, and details of your product are included prominently in our eNewsletter, circulated to over 1,000 high level recipients in the environmental, waste and recycling sectors. You even receive an "Urban Mines Product of the Month" certificate.

If you would like your product to feature on our site, please contact Jill Sykes at jill.sykes@urbanmines.org.uk.
